April flowers are almost gone......

Today I am using Dreamweavers Color Solutions Alcohol Inks and LL3024 Cherry Blossom Shape.
Cut a piece of 3 3/4" square glossy white paper. Cut a second square 4 1/4" glossy white paper. With a teeny piece of tape attach small square to large square. Apply color solutions in Pumpkin, Sugarplum, Christmas Red and Citron color solutions over both squares. Let dry and separate.
Turn small square over and position stencil over square. Trace and cut out.
Position stencil over front, tape down. Paste front with black matte paste. Remove stencil and clean.
Ta-dah! Clean, simple, quick and easy!! Make sure to check out the rest of the teams flowers before they are gone. Thank you to all who skip through the blogs, to those who leave comments, and to those who participate in our challenges! We love to see what you are creating. Happy blogging!

April flowers.......

Well we only have two more Thursdays for flower cards. Today I decided to try something super simple. Start with
Dry emboss LM219 Plum Blossom Shape onto pearl paper. Brush gold ink across image. The background paper had a gold sheen to it. Couldn't quite capture the shimmer in a picture.
Then line the inner image with a red/orange sharpie.
Assemble and done! Make sure to check out the April flowers and weddings blogs. You don't want to miss out on any creative moments!!

Get ready to be inked, pasted, encrusted, stenciled and stamped! All of this week the Dreamweaver Stencils' Dream Team and the Stampendous Design Teams will be providing some "Dream-pendous" inspiration for you, with multiple opportunities to win some fabulous prizes from both companies. Each day this week, you will be directed from both the Stampendous Impressions' blog or the Dream It Up! blog to the players du jour for your oohing and aaahing pleasure. Everyone will be playing on Saturday, the 14th with our final hop for the week. This is your opportunity to see how to mix and mingle your creativity...if you are a stenciler, you will be fascinated at combining stamps with your first love. If you are a stamper, you will be wowed at how stencils can add to your impressions.

Today I kept it simple. Start by dry embossing Dreamweaver LG615 Vase Stencil color onto it. Make sure you keep the outer edges darker than the center to create a rounded effect. Then use on of the small border pieces from StampendousStamp over the vase with black ink. Curl the image over a paper towel center. Pop up with 3-d tape. Add flowers and you're done.

Can't wait to see what everyone else has done! Make sure you comment to increase your chance to win product from Stampendous and Dreamweaver!!

Be sure to leave comments as you tour the blogs (with your email addy!) for a chance to win* one of three combined sets of these Dreamweaver and Stampendous goodies:

Today I used my stencil as the focal point and the stamp to enhance it.

Start with LX7008 Torch Ginger Paste one flower with Black Glossy Paste. Remove stencil and cover the flower with Stampendous Bronze Crushed Glass Glitter. Lightly sprinkle Stampendous Aged Gold Embossing Enamel over leaves. Let dry completely. Once dry heat the embossing enamel till melted. Next take the largest frame from Stampendous SSC1142 Vintage Frames. Ink it with Black Pigment Ink. Stamp on card front. Sprinkle Gold Embossing Enamel here and there over frame. Tap off. Cover the rest of the frame with clear embossing powder. Cut out flower and position inside frame on front of card with 3-D tape.

April Flowers

It's Thursday!

Here's an easy CAS (Clean and Simple) flower card for this week. Use one stencil and one window card a bit of color and you have a quick, clean and simple card.

The stencil I used is the LL306 Tall Orchid:
Dry Emboss image on the inside of the card so that flowers show through window. Emboss 3 of the flowers on the upper left hand corner of the front of card. Flip the stencil over and dry emboss the same three flowers on the lower right hand corner of card front.

Then stencil color onto all images.

Run an orange marker around the inside the window and....voila!! Finished!!

LOVE CAS cards!!

Keep watching, the Dreamweaver/Stampendous event is still going on. Start at either the Dream it Up blog or the Stampendous blog for fun ways to combine Stamps and Stencils. Remember to leave comments for your chance to win!!

Stop back again tomorrow for another stamp/stencil card idea!

I started the challenge with the LX7007 Leaves quilt square from Dreamweaver Stencils. Dry emboss and stencil color with Metallic Chalks. Then take CRW074 "Pat a Cake" Cling stamp from Stampendous. Stamp image in Sepia ink and color with colored pencils. Attach image to center of embossed area with 3-d foam tape.

April Flowers..........

Hello everyone,
I hated missing last week. Technical difficulties!! Most likely operator error...

Anyway here we are a new month and a new theme. April Flowers.

I decided to do one of my favorite techniques because it's so easy!

Start with LL3023 Tall PoppyTape down over printed paper or plain paper that you have stamped words on. Stencil color over the image. Gently lift stencil and wipe with lightly dampened towel.

Replace stencil and paste with Translucent paste. Remove stencil and let dry.

This gives a glass like look to the image.

Tear edges of printed paper. Brush color aroung the edges with large stencil brush. Note this step can be done before you begin any of the stenciling.

Attach image to solid color paper then to front of card. Done! Easy!

Make sure you go to the Dream it Up blog and comment, add your link to Mr. Linky and post something. The more you do during the month, the more chances you have to win!!
