Gettin Inky with Stencils - last week

I can't believe it is the last week of September already!

For the last week of this months challenge, I decided to do something super easy.

First start with LG735 Neck Tie

Ink in the collar and the edge of the tie with pigment ink (I used two shades of brown)

Then cover up the collar line and brush white pigment ink over the shirt collar.  Sprinkle with white embossing powder and heat.

Next center LS Penguin in center of tie.  Stencil with pigment ink.  Highlight the eyes with  black ink pen.

There it is.  Layer onto printed papers and you have a "cool tie".  Get it penguins live in the arctic where it's cool or cold.  Okay, I agree I'm not a good comic!.

Make sure you check out the other bloggers and leave your comments.

Stay tuned next week for the new challenge!

Well here it is.  It is not only my inky creation, but it's my mom's birthday card.

Super easy too!!

Start with LG 732 Rooster
Stencil color onto printed paper with pigment inks.

Remove stencil, clean.

Reattach stencil over image, paste with Blue Label Transparent Paste, let dry.

Tah-dah!  Makes a very stricking image.  The Paste enhances the color.

Thanks for coming back to see my creation.

See you again Thursday -  Have a great weekend.

Gettin inky with Stencils

Hello again!

This week I'm keeping with the Memories Mists. I'm adding stenciled images with pigment ink.

First, spritz a piece of semi gloss paper with Blue Martini and Orange Juice. Let dry.

Next spritz LG745 Tree Line with Margarita and Iced Coffee directly onto the stencil.

Lay misted paper over stencil and rub gently. Lift off in one quick motion.
Let dry.

Next emboss the deer and bunnies from LX7016 Season of Joybetween the trees.

Stencil color onto them with pigment ink. Trim image and layer on to colored paper.

Thanks for stopping by. Make sure to check out the rest of the Dreamweaver team for more inspiration with inks and stencils.

Getting Inky with Stencils

New month.....new challenge......

So this months theme is pretty open to a variety of interpretation. I wanted to start out with something C&S (clean and simple). So I started by spritzing a piece of glossy white card stock with Memories Mist; Pink Lemonade, Orange Juice and Blue Martini.

Next I took LL3020 Retro Sitting Cat and stenciled lavender pigment ink on the right side of the image. Again I used white glossy card stock. Heat set it just a bit. (Careful not to burn the paper - voice of experience!) Reposition the cat stencil over the top of inked image, then shift the stencil approx 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch to the left. Paste with White Glossy Embossing paste. Remove stencil, let dry.

Replace stencil and spritz with the same three Memories Mists. Matte with solid color paper and mount image onto spritzed background.
