A Bloomin Spring

This week, being so close to Easter, I have included a visitor in my Bloomin' Spring.

Begin with the LL428 Long Daffodils Stencil:

Stencil color over flowers and the upper area of the stems and leaves.  Flip the stencil and stencil color again next to the first set (see picture).

Next take the little mischievous bunny, LM2008,

Paste him in Black Glossy paste over the stems of the daffodils.

Draw his face, head and whiskers in with a fine line black pen.

At least he hasn't started eating the flowers!!

Check out the rest of the teams creations.  Make sure you don't miss next month, when the new team members will begin posting their creations.  Can't wait to feel their inspiration.

Go to Dreamweaver's blog to play along and enter your creation into the monthly challenge!!

Hope to see you there.................till next week!

A Bloomin Spring

Well we just had a fabulous snow storm this afternoon and more is expected.  Someone is really challenging me to wrap my mind around Spring!!

This week I started with LG Cherry Blossoms.  Paste with White Glossy paste on dark color paper.

Next layer your card with the same color of paper and another layer of white over the top.

Next Paste LS1010 Small Happy Birthday with Black Glossy Paste.  Make sure to overlap all layers.

Once the blossoms are dry, turn over paper, trace LG 615 Vase on the back, cut out.

Add to front of card.  Apply a thin piece of double stick tape around the sides and bottom.  Apply a double layer of foam mounting tape down the center of the vase.

Finally, attach pre-made flowers to card.  Clean and simple, fast and easy!!

Check out the Dreamweaver Blog to meet the new members of the design team.  They will share their fresh ideas and creativity with us beginning with the April challenge.  We are so excited to have them!!!

Last but not least, make sure you play along with us to win product and to share your creative take on the monthly themes.........................Until next week..........Happy Stenciling!!

A Bloomin Spring

This week thinking about spring during a snow storm is tough.....but.....I had a really easy idea come to me.

This weeks creation I decided to do CAS (Clean and Simple)

Start with LL549 Tall Daisies

Lay stencil on it's side and add color with pigment ink and stencil brushes.  I colored mine to look like sunflowers.

Next take LM2015 Telephone

and paste it on the right side of front of card with Black glossy paste.

I then defined the stems and flowers with a touch of colored pencil.

Clean and simple, quick and easy.  I made up a few, they were so quick.  I think you could use almost any saying on it.

Give it a try!  Check out the rest of the team for more creative inspiration!!

Till next week............................

A Bloomin' Spring

Well it's the beginning of March.......we are thinking spring for this months challenge................and we just got hit with  a huge snow storm that isn't supposed to stop until Saturday.  Hard to think Spring in total whiteness.  :)

Due to circumstances beyond my control (black ice), I've had a very eventful and somewhat painful week.  I am pulling out of the archives this card that makes me smile and think spring.

Start with the mushroom stencil LL3025

Dry emboss.  Stencil color with pigment ink.  Then paint embossing fluid over the hats of the mushrooms.  Add gold embossing powder and heat.

Don't worry if it doesn't cover completely.

Quick and easy!!

Don't forget to visit the rest of the team.

And check back next week, I'll be moving easier and will have something new to share!
