Mists, Drizzles, and Showers

It's the last week of April's theme and the B team is up again.

This week I pasted, stenciled color and misted (is that a word) my idea.

Start with LJ908 Umbrellas:
On a grey piece of paper lightly stencil navy blue ink around edges of the umbrellas.  Clean.  On a piece of white paper paste with White Matte Paste (Red Label).  Let dry.

While this is drying takeLG738 Rain Words:

Paste with blue glossy paste on white paper.  Let Dry.

Finally dry emboss LL3029 Dog then stencil color over him.
I used Ranger Distress inks.

Once the pasted umbrellas are dry, replace the stencil and add color to umbrellas.

Mist lightly over the top with Memories Mist Blue Martini (I got a bit heavy with mine).

Cut out umbrellas, attach to grey using the navy stencils color as a road map.  Add 3d foam mounting tap on some to make it more dimensional.  Start at the top of the card.

Before you finish the lower edge, place dog where you want on card.  Add 3 layers of foam tape on his umbrella.

Cut out words and attach to card.  Done!

Don't forget to check out the rest of the team and make sure to check out Alison Heikkila our guest artist this month!  Hope you are playing along!  You are my inspiration!!!

Stay tuned for next months theme!                                           Till then, stenciled trails to you!

Mists, Drizzles, and Showers

Hello everyone!

Between having tonsillitis and trying to find a home, this week got away from me.  Make sure to check out the teams sites listed for new and fun ways to make new creations using April's theme.

There are some who are still posting every week, so it would be worth the effort to check out every one's blog on the team!

Mists, Drizzles and Showers

Hello........
It is the other half of the teams turn to create under the April challenge theme.

I decided to use three stencils:
LJ905 Rain - Paste with Blue Glossy paste.  Make sure to flip stencil, so the rain is falling to the right rather than to the left.
Next, tape off all words except "Showers of Blessings" on LG738 Rain Words.  Paste this with Blue glossy paste.
Finally, paste JG 737 Umbrella with Yellow matte paste.

Once the umbrella has dried, replace the stencil over the image.  Stencil color on the tip at the top and on the handle.  Leave stencil on and place the rain stencil over the top.  Paste with Blue glossy paste.
Remove both stencils and let dry.

Once everything has dried, cut out umbrella, matte words and rain.  Add a touch of ribbon and assemble as shown.

Make sure you visit the rest of the team to see what creative ideas they have come up with.

Alison Heikkila is again being featured as guest artist.

We are so excited to see our newest team members creations.....don't miss anyone!

You too can play along.  Just email your creations to Dreamweaver or add your blog to Mr. Linky on the Dreamweaver blog.  We love looking at new creations using Dreamweaver product.

Till next time....................Happy Stenciling!!

Mists, Drizzle and Showers

Welcome to a new monthly challenge with the Dream Team, and welcome to our new Dream Team! Today's a big day for all of us, as we introduce the wide variety of creative inspiration from our talented ladies...so wide in fact that we've divided our team of twelve into two teams, who'll post twice per month each. In addition, we have a guest designer this month to provide a unique take on creating with Dreamweaver, Alison Heikkila!

The Dream Team and Dreamweaver are trying new challenges and new ways to promote, entice and show off the wonderful world of stencils.  These new avenues will provide more crafters the opportunity to learn and share the art of stenciling.   Stencils can be used in paper-crafting, scrapbooking, home decor...and many more creative ways.  There isn't anything that you do that wouldn't look a better with the use stenciling products from Dreamweaver stencils and products.

April's challenge is to create whatever inspires you with the theme of "Mists, Drizzle, and Showers".   Create using the theme literally (rain, sprinMistkles, downpours) or use the theme figurative.  Memories "Mists" would be a great addition to your project. Create a misty, drizzly mood. It could be on the edge of creepy, or just that relaxed feeling of a rainy day, curled up with a cup of tea, and a good book. It's up to you. But WE want to see what you come up with, so please post your creations on your blog, an online gallery, and link it on the Dream It UP! blog, or email pictures of your projects to lynell@dreamweaverstencils.com.

Here's the list of our team players for this week including our guest designer:
