Summertime, Sparklers and S'mores with Dreamweaver and Stampendous - Day Three

It's fun in the sun time again with another collaboration between Stampendous and Dreamweaver Stencils! We'll be playing together all of this week, with a fabulous hop on Friday, August 2nd, featuring a slew of amazing talent from both teams, and of course...prizes!!!

Two prize packages will be given away for the comments left on posts Monday-Thursday, July 29th - August 1st, and one prize will be given away for comments left on the hop day, Friday, August 2nd. Stampendous Surfer and Sandcastle Kiddos • Dreamweaver Hot Air Balloon, Ice Cream Cones, Summer, Mosaic Swirls, Bird Words, and Sandcastle stencils

Here's what I created:

I stamped the Stampendous Surfer in black ink.  Colored with Prisma Colored Pencils.  Outline the smallest surfboard from the Dreamweaver Surfboard trio.  Color with colored pencils.  Dab clear embossing ink over the image.  Cover with clear embossing powder heat and repeat.  This gives the board a nice shine just like a well waxed board.  With an exacto knife cut next to the surfers body and completely cut away paper in between legs.  Slip board in under his arm and there you go!

Summertime​, Sparklers, and S'More!

 

This week a lot of the Team is at CHA looking at what is new in the Craft World.  They are also introducing new stencil designs and reintroducing retired designs.

 

So when I started thinking about what I would do this week there was only one stencil that would fit the theme.  The rooster in the morning LG753.

 

 

(It also reminds me of the Kellogg's cornflakes rooster - boy that dates me!)

 

I used the double glitter technique with Celebration and Reggae combo's from Art Institute Glitter.

 

 

I LUV IT!!!  

 

I can't wait to make more!

Summertime, Sparklers, and S'More!

In honor of the 4th of July last week.  I decided to go sparkly!  We didn't get fire works last year due to the dry grass and fire danger.  So this year was really exciting!!

Start with LJ 886 Fireworks:

 

 

Use double glitter technique to add color.

Then use LS1012 A Star is Born with the double glitter technique.

Matt both images on cardstock.  Attach A Star is Born with 3-d foam mounting tape onto Fireworks image and Tah - Dah...............A card is Born...................
