Pinterest inspired with Ranger's Stickles Dry Glitter

The Dream Team has a big day today! Not only are we into week three of our Pinterest Inspired challenge, we are also playing with Ranger's Stickles Dry Glitter in the mix! We've had so much fun playing with jars of sparkly goodness, that we want to share the fun with two lucky crafters!

Just visit everyone on the list below, and leave comments for everyone. Two winners* will be randomly selected and announced Thursday, July 4th...what a great day for a celebration! Each prize package includes a mix of five Ranger Stickles Dry Glitter, a mix of six Dreamweaver Stencils, and jar of Dreamweaver Translucent Paste, and a Palette Knife for spreading. If you want to add to the fun, play along with our Pinterest challenge and link your own creation to the linkytool on the Dream It Up! blog before July 1st for a chance to win this month's stencil prize.

My creation came from Amy Flynn's fobot Hootie :

Start with :
LG751 Open Owl
Paste with Red Glossy Paste. Remove stencil. Shake Christmas Red over wings and head of owl. Sprinkle Platinum on body and True Blue over beak.

Next paste a couple of gears from LJ911 Gears
with Black Glossy Paste. Remove stencil and let dry.

Cut out the gears that are pasted. Attach with foam mounting tape over the Owl's eyes.

Attach doo dads to front. Done!

June is Pinterest Month

For the month of June we are being inspired by something we have seen on Pinterest.  If you have never been on the site, I will warn you now it is addicting!!  I am a Pinterest novice, but every time I sit to look at just a couple of things I find myself sitting for WAY to long and neglecting what I swhould be doing......like commenting on my fellow team members b logs.

Anyway we are to choose something, whether it be projects, pictures, color themes, etc that has inspired us to create our current posts.  I am finally (hopefully) getting my own place to live so I have been looking at decorating ideas.  When I saw this one, I thought of stenciling instead of decorating.  So here is the inspiration http://pinterest.com/pin/283515739014472371.

For this creation I used three stencils:
LX7001 Damask

LG747 Ruffled Heart

LS89 Small Celebrate

From here I pasted the Damask and the heart in White Glossy paste on a yellow-orange paper.  Paste celebrate in Matt Yellow on white paper.

Once dry, cut out and layer like the inspiration picture.

And Ta-Dah.....it is done.  I love easy and simple.

Make sure you vist the rest of team for more Pinterest interpretations.  You too can play along this month and every month by visiting the Dreamweaver blog and post your creations on Mr. Linky.

Tiny Treats

This is the last week of May and the final week of Tiny Treats.

In honor of my little brother whos birthday is today and is a real star in my eyes, I used the dog
....... and made him a star!

First dry emboss dog - stencil color on him with pigment ink.  Cut out leaving approx an 1/8th of an inch border.

Paste A Star is Born
in Black Glossy Paste onto decorative paper.

Add a charm to the collar and a crown on his head.....

And the Star is Born!!!

Make sure to visit the rest of the team to see their creative inspirations.....

Tiny Treats

This week I decided to show one of the new Fox stencils.  Of course it is the "tiny" of the two.

Unfortunately, my camera fell off the car seat on Mother's Day weekend and crunched my lens.  So I don't have a picture of the stencil, but will post it as soon as I can get one this week.

I used the double glitter technique and Art Institute glitters.

Isn't he CUTE!!!  Love these new foxes.

Make sure to check out the rest of the groups blogs for inspiration.

Until next time, happy stenciling to you......
